Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.
– WYATT EARP

With Mobile Accounting Services, you’ll benefit from the experience we’ve gained through more than 20 years of working with businesses in Hamilton, the greater Waikato, the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua.

When it comes to accounting, bookkeeping and financial management, we know our stuff.

We’re not just about the numbers – we’re here to give you rock-solid financial advice, too. We look at your books as a window into what’s really going on behind the scenes, not as a set of documents to file and forget.

By providing you with expert advice and insight into what those numbers are telling you, we help you to use your financial information to improve your business. Our work together is a true partnership.

We’re not your traditional accountants. With us, you won’t have to fear boring meetings or lectures about your outgoings.
At MAS, it’s you, us, and friendly, knowledgeable business advice.

Our Team

Eve Shepherd CA (BMS)

Director

Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants

Eve joined MAS in May 2011 after 15 years’ experience working in chartered accounting firms, with 10 of those spent here in the Waikato at KPMG. It was Eve’s passion for assisting people in business that brought her to MAS – here she could work directly alongside our SMEs and develop close relationships with the clients.

Eve is married with four children and a keen sports participant. If it involves health and fitness, it’s probably in Eve’s basket of interests: gym, basketball, netball, running along our beautiful river, crossfit, half marathons, marathon (just one might do), and half-Ironman distance triathlons. And on those rare times when she’s resting, Eve enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Penny Dobbie CA (BMS)

Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants

Penny joined MAS in February 2013, and has more than 10 years’ experience working in chartered accounting firms. On her OE, she spent a year and a half in Dublin working as an accountant for a large bank.

Her area of interest is in providing taxation advice and organisation structure planning to our small and medium clients.

She also has extensive knowledge of various types of accounting software, with particular experience in implementing and training clients on the use of Xero.

Out of the office, her personal interests include walking, cycling, squash, and spending time with her family.

Hazel Bryan

Hazel is our longest-serving employee and a familiar face with our long-term clients.

Hazel prepares GST, annual accounts and tax returns, with her experience gained through many years on the job.

Hazel’s personal interests include linedancing and travel, which is a good combination as the linedancing frequently calls for her to travel throughout New Zealand and overseas. She also regularly commutes to Raglan to spend time with her partner, Dave. Hazel and Dave have been spending summer holidays travelling the country in their motorhome.

Jacinda Roper (BBS)

Ngati Maniapoto, Ngati Haua

Hamilton born and raised, Jacinda spent 20 years working in the travel and tourism industry in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. For 10 years, she lived in the UK and Europe and has an impressive travel history.

Back in New Zealand, she returned to study and gained her Bachelor of Business Studies from Wintec. A provisional member of NZICA, Jacinda is now working through her final requirements to become a Chartered Accountant.

Her areas of interest include business development, farming, and Māori trusts and incorporations, and she is currently the Treasurer of Whanau Incorporation, a Waikato farming entity.

In her spare time, Jacinda loves to snowboard, keep active and fit, indulge in good food, socialise, and soak up the beach lifestyle.
